Clear Out the Old, Usher in the New

I think we’re all more than thankful to be done with 2020. Onward to 2021!

Few! Well that was a doozy none of us were quite anticipating. But alas, now that we're done with that horrible no good 2020, let's work towards progress in 2021. Let's embrace daydreams by turning them into reality! Let's go just a little wild! Okay... maybe not too wild, but you get the point. What are your ideas for this first month of the new year, big or small? I've got a few things on my mind that I'm sharing below. Read on if you're curious!

This may seem silly, but I love cleaning first thing in the new year. Getting rid of the remaining "grime" of the last year and starting fresh just feels right. Indulge in some organic cleaning supplies and make your space feel dewy and novel with a few wipes of some lemon-scented products.

Camellia season is here, no doubt, so make sure to bring some of those fluffy blooms inside! My backyard garden is chock-full of them this time of year, it's so easy to snip a few sprigs and plop them in a gorgeous bowl where their beauty can continue to inspire indoors. If you don't have any in your yard, don't let a little neighborhood walk with a pair of hidden shears stop you! 😜

My youngest enfant, Camilla, also started an herb garden that she is tending to. Fresh herbs are an absolute delight in cocktails and homemade meals. A few sprigs of sage or rosemary add a lovely touch to a glass of champagne with a splash of St. Germain! Extend your winter holiday by sipping on champagne cocktails into the early days of January. There's no shame in small delights!

I'm allowing myself to daydream in one particular fashion, hopping into a camper van on my way to Sedona for a fabulous glamping adventure. If you think that's wild, you'd be mistaken! I've taken many road trips throughout the years across the country and I've been itching to get back out again. Sedona feels so magical, mysterious, and beautiful, it makes so much sense to go glamping there!

What are your new year traditions? Have any daydreams that are guiding you from fantasy to reality? Whatever they may or may not be, happiest of new years to you friend!
