Aha! So you're one of those people who leaves everything to the last minute. Or maybe 2020 just got the best of you and you're playing catch up now. No matter the reason, if you live on the east side of Los Angeles, I've got you covered! Below you'll find a few of my favorite stores from Pasadena and San Marino, small business open right now that you can pop into for all of your last minute gift giving needs.

shop local

If you're interested in perusing our pieces in real life, then head on over to Single Stone San Marino! My collaborators and mentors from Day 1 of Anabel Higgins Jewelry. Pull up to their shop on Mission Street and be treated like royalty by Cornia and Heidi. They'll help you find exactly what you (er, your recipient) needs. Hint hint to you husbands out there - your wife would like Santa to make a pitstop.

After stopping by Single Stone, make sure to pop in a few doors down to In Its Time floral shop. Coco's shop isn't just adorable, she fashions the best arrangements as well! This dainty space is sure to surprise and delight. Bring an extra set of flowers home or gift to a friendly neighbor.

Both the Laura bracelet and Carlotta pendant are available and ready to go home with you today at Single Stone San Marino. Mixed metals make for great presents, just saying!

An absolute necessity for anyone who lives on the east side of Los Angeles are the caramels from Little Flower Candy Co. They come in multiple flavors, but sea salt is the original and is utterly divine. Also keep an eye out for their marshmallows!

Any good shopping trip is wasted if you don't carve out some time at Serafina on Mission Street in San Marino. Excellent indie designers and fun moments of home decor abound!

shop small

Perhaps you're still on the hunt for a few stocking stuffers? Then make sure to order ahead and pick up from Little Flower Candy Co. Their sea salt caramels never disappoint. Plus their variety of fresh candies would put a smile on any kid's face, big or small.

Back on Mission Street are two of my other favorite stores - Pearls and Serafina. Founded by cute Lauri, Pearls is such a fun stop you won't want to miss. Perfect for chic everyday additions to any lady's wardrobe. Also great for outfits and home decor is Single Stone's sister shop, Serafina. Grab a coffee table book or two from the entry for a quick pick in the present department. They also have an adorable children's section if you know a tiny tot or two!

Right down the street from Serafina, you'll find some adorable ladies over at Pearls. A great spot for everyday pieces and to mingle with friends.

Owned by the wonderful Linda Grace, take a break and pick up some nibbles to replenish your tired shopper's feet at San Marino Cafe. Linda creates perfect light fare that hits the spot.

All that shopping on your feet instead of online is exhausting! Make sure to catch a snack from San Marino Cafe before driving off into the sunset. Linda's sandwiches and salads delight when you need something quick and light. She's also a fan of AHJ, so what's not to love?!

For our final gift guide, I'd like to focus on a critical organization that's important every year, but especially this year: the NAACP. In a time that is truly like no other in history, it's important we all come together to help our friends, new and old, near and far. Please consider making a donation this holiday season!

That's it for our gift guides in 2020 - happy holidays to all!
