Of course, anybody can go to a jewelry store and pick out something fabulous - but would it be special? There's an air of significance when a gift is personalized, whether it's meant to be passed down or just for you. A beautiful engraving, hand carved, with a single initial, a monogram, or even a little message, elevates even the simplest of jewelry.
This is something the Victorians knew quite well. The intent of creating a beautiful object, long lasting in its craftsmanship, with the idea that generations to come would adore it just the same as their ancestors before them. Obviously, that's true for some pieces, but not for most, which is a shame. But what if I could design a modern jewelry line, based off these concepts, and create new heirlooms for the contemporary woman who, like me, loves antiques and wants to be able to pass down cherished moments to family and friends? And that, dear reader, is exactly what I did.
