Long before the days of covid-19, the darling Danielle Miele, AKA Gem Gossip, stopped by casa Higgins to enjoy some sweet treats.

Naturally, our love for exquisite antiques, both in jewelry and decor, was a main topic of conversation. If you weren't a fan of Danielle's until now, then you have yet to discover her fantastic office space, filled to the brim with delicious Victorian artwork and mirrors in gilded frames. The epitome of a gallery wall. I discovered beyond assembling an impressive art display, Mrs. Miele also collects a twist on a classic look. Instead of the more common silver and turquoise Native American jewelry, Danielle collects less easy to find gold and turquoise baubles. A lady who enjoys taking something traditional and putting a special spin on it? My kind of woman!

Progressing from the living room, we moved onto the dining room to feast on charcuterie, macarons, and cocktail rings galore. The conversation moved on to our needs to be surrounded by things that inspire us, the things that make us excited to wake up in the morning. For the both of us, interior design and jewelry do just that. What you keep around you are true reflections of your thoughts and feelings, so why not be enveloped constantly by beauty?
